Maaike Seegers

i find this project really neat:
The production process of tableware is at least as interesting as the end product, only normally this is not visible for the user. InMeltware process and product come together. The bowl, carafe and spoon made out of stoneware are not only pieces of tableware but also molds to make tableware with and so extend the set. The rest of the tableware is made out of a hard, natural, waterproof wax extracted from the leafs of a palm tree. By heating this wax in the fireproof pan it becomes liquid and with the molds you can pour new cups, plates, bowl and spoons. With Meltware you can make exactly what you need without your kitchen cupboard bulge out with unused tableware.
